This is a vintage Road LEAD 2-12 guitar amplifier in great condition.
Refurbished by Brown Dog Amp Works in Poulsbo, WA. It has new
Eminence Cannabis Rex 12 speakers which sound great.
The Road Electronics company was eventually bought by
Rickenbacker back in the mid 80’s after this one was made. I believe
this is a mid-70’s amp. This one has everything working fine with no
mods of any sort and it sounds great as well. A very nice vintage solid
state Road LEAD 2-12 for home, studio or stage.
Road Electronics was founded by Charles “Bud” Ross after he sold
Kustom. Road amps were built in Chanute or Ft. Scott, KS. Road
Electronics was later purchased by Griffin Music (Los Angeles, CA),
then Rickenbacker, then Celestion. Bud Ross made bass and guitar
amps and this is one of the hard to find guitar amps. A nice, well made
vintage amp.
